These Two

Wanted to share my heart today about these two.

I won't share for very long because the tears keep me from the keyboard....

I wanted to encourage those of you who are Mothers to precious ones and you may still be waiting on that perfect -made for me - spouse.

Speaking from a place of waiting that was ten years deep.

May I encourage you today? Speaking from someone who believed that she would never meet someone willing. Someone special enough . Someone brave enough. Someone worthy enough to share in the raising of my baby girl. I can't say I even trusted God enough. I didn't.

But it happened. Miraculous. Oh yes. It was. It still is.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't lift my hands and praise The One who blessed me with this beautiful man and this sweet girl. My Macey Girl. My gift given at the tender age of eighteen years.

Don't get me started....

About how much they favor one another. Or about how much they are deeply heart connected. Or about how much they "get each other" and have their very own special connection completely separate from me.

Oh yes. This is how big God is that He would bless me with a husband who not only looked so much like my baby girl, but one who carried the spirit of adoption in his heart for her...... from the beginning.

It's as if we've always been a family.....

They adore each other.

Grateful, thankful me.

I know He will do the same for you....He has that special someone who will love your children with a supernatural love. Who will be that earthly demonstration of His love and pour- and I mean pour onto your children in ways you have never imagined possible...

It's coming dear one. Go ahead and trust Him for it......

This is such a sweet encouragement to others! And they are both beautiful!!! Men can be beautiful, too, especially when they have shown that kind of love to a little girl!

I was your Macy girl. I was her about 45 years ago. He loves me with all his heart. He is the only daddy I have ever known. The court papers make him *legally* so. My heart makes him more...he is my daddy. I was your Macy girl.

I've never written you a comment before, but there's such a sweetness in everything you write. And as someone who is still waiting to meet a man as wonderful as the one God sent you, I just wanted you to know how much I appreciated your sentiments. Thank you! :)

i think "step" dads have even more power over a girls life than biological ones do sometimes. they dont have a chance to be mediocre. they are immediately handed the option of a broken, abandoned, confused little girl, and they choose to love her for everything she is. my dad (stepdad) has taken the role of holding my hair back when im throwing up, being the first one i call when i have a flat tire or my car breaks down, the man who i danced with at my wedding, and everything in between. "Step" dads have no idea the power they have in the lives of their children, and everytime i meet one (or see one on a blog) who does it right, i praise God. your girl is so blessed.

Thank you sweet friend. I am always amazed at how you touch my heart just when I need it most. I am very lonely. I don't go out looking for a date, not my scene. And I don't do the online thing. I have been really down and really hurting lately. I needed this :) Maybe I won't spend the rest of my life alone.

So incredibly beautiful! Coming from a girl who was blessed with a Daddy that raised me and loves me as if I were his own true blood. He is my Daddy through and through. I rarely think about it because it's always been so natural. But when I do, I am amazed. God's blessings are BIG! :o)

What a precious post. I am so sad that I missed your call! I will be calling you back. I'm in a class at church this weekend, and not even taking a breath! I will call you next week one day during parent pick-up. We have to plan our get together. Maybe GSG can come to Knoxville for a game ;-) Crazy I know, but I love the thought of meeting you two and all my "adopted grandchildren that you are keeping for me." Love you! xoox
